Design Matter is a Dubai-based interior design studio recognised for its measured, culturally attuned approach to space. At Design Matter, landscape is conceived as a structured dialogue between design, climate, and human experience. In arid environments, resilience guides every decision. From the careful selection of native and regionally adapted species to water-conscious irrigation strategies that ensure longevity with minimal consumption. Hardscape elements are composed with equal intention, balancing stone, gravel, shaded pergolas, and architectural frameworks to create outdoor spaces that extend the built form.
A unique carpet, inspired by the UAE’s mission to Mars, is set to be unveiled during the upcoming Milan Design Week 2026. The rug, known as ‘Hala, Mareehk’, or ‘Hello Mars’, is the work of boutique design firm, Design Matter, and is the first piece from their sustainable furnishings collection, ‘series of hope’.
Hala Mareehk, an award-winning project recognized by the ISOLA Award, reflects thoughtful design, innovation, and a distinctive spatial experience.
The carpet will be featured at the upcoming Milan Design Week 2026 (Isola Design Festival 2026).
