As Aster Opticals completes its 10-year anniversary of its foundation, dated back in 2014, Design Matter was tasked with giving the brand a breath of fresh air.

Aster Opticals embraces technology to make the process of selecting eyewear and testing customers’ eyes efficient; in doing so machines (like the VisuFit that incorporates virtual try-ons and AI capabilities) and screens have been introduced to the retail design that add a futuristic edge to the store. These features have been highlighted throughout the retail space in key locations, allowing customers to pause and use these interactive features. In addition to customer comfort and interaction, a more lounge-like relaxed consultation space is provided in the retail space for a quick consultation without having to go to the back office. 

Aster Optics management is required to display the brands they represent in strategic locations within the store. The angled wall display allows for branding above the SKU displays, and the gondola panels allow for branding (ranging from large screens, solid white panels, and blue acrylic panels). The back office mainly comprises the eye test room that complies with the healthcare standards along with a store room and staff break-out zone.
